What is builder gel?

So, what exactly is a builder gel? Builder gels are a much thicker type of gel that can be used to add length, shape, and exceptional strength to nails. 


To create flawless nails using builder gel, start by applying a thin slip layer (a thin, uncured coat). This will help the builder gel adhere and self-level. Then, add a large bead of builder gel onto the centre of the nail, and use the brush to guide it towards the edges, avoiding the cuticles and sidewalls. Build the apex by focusing more gel in the stress area (near the middle of the nail). Allow the gel to self-level for a smooth finish, then cure under a UV or LED lamp. After this, you can shape the nail and start getting creative to complete your look.
